Reading about public corporations and the stock market is an interest of mine. One thing you notice is that there is never enough time to read everything you want to read. It got to a point where I was spending many hours a week reading the news and not getting to all the articles I wanted to and even reading others that I wish I hadn’t spent time on.
To save time, I built myself an app that crawls, aggregates, and summarizes news for companies I follow. Key takeaways and quick summaries are a huge time saver, and I can drill down on any articles I want to know more about. The app also provides semantic search.
The app has user invitations, signin/signup. Each user can add their favorite publicly traded companies to their news watchlist to get summarized articles for all of them. It supports 17,000+ publicly traded companies listed on Nasdaq, NYSE, and AMEX.
